Coach Jim Harbaugh wasn't sure what to make of the loss to the Detroit Lions.
The Ravens gave up too many big plays and failed to make any of their own as they failed to score a touchdown in the 27-12 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Sunday, Harbaugh was more upbeat about their performance in the second preseason game.
"I felt a lot better about it watching the tape than after driving home after the game. A lot of good things. The things that weren't good are easily correctable," Harbaugh said. "I'm really disappointed with some of the mental errors in the second half with the second (team) defense."
After the loss, Harbaugh mentioned there were communication issues with the younger players that have to be worked out.
He's confident, however, that can be mended with time and experience.
Defensive end Pernell McPhee wasn't at practice Sunday at the campus of Stevenson University in Owings Mills.
"He had a personal issue, a tough situation," Harbaugh said. "I'll let him explain it when he gets back but he suffered a loss in his family so he's been excused to go take care of that right now."
