Maryland had a wild win over Virginia to close out its ACC tenure. The game was really well played, and the Terps took down the Cavaliers in overtime, resulting in a court storming by the students. It was so much fun, former Maryland star Steve Francis decided to get in on the action.
Francis congratulated Terps forward Jake Layman as he left the court.
The pictures are blurry, but it was pretty odd to see the security guards block Francis from access to the players and coaches, just like the other students. Francis wanted to say hello to Terps assistant Juan Dixon, but had to do it over the security Maginot Line. A little awkward for two guys with their names hanging in the rafters.
The best picture came after the court had cleared and most of the crowd exited the building. Somehow, a fan emerged with a full-size Len Bias poster. Since he was wearing a Len Bias Boston Celtics jersey, Francis thought he should pose with the poster.
