Maryland football continues to lock up in-state talent.

The latest commitment came before the Terps Red-White spring game on Saturday from Gilman quarterback Shane Cockerille.

According to a report in the Baltimore Sun, Cockerille said the influx of other big-name Maryland natives like Stefon Diggs and Wes Brown deciding to stay home influenced his decision to do the same.

Cockerille led the Greyhounds to a 10-1 record and a MIAA A Conference championship as a junior in 2011.

The Towson native had also attracted interest from Temple, Navy, Virginia and Michigan.
