In a high intensity match, Nick DeLeon scored the game’s first and only goal in the 88th minute sending D.C. United to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2006.
There are curtain calls with hat tips, salutes from the ice with sticks pointed to the rafters and Lambeau Leaps, and then there is the manner in which D.C. United players showed love to their fans Thursday night after a match that never even kicked off.
Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between D.C United and New York Red Bulls has been cancelled do to snow. The game will be played in it's entirety Thursday, Nov. 8 at Red Bulls Arena in New York.
