Chick Hernandez

An original member of CSN Mid-Atlantic, Chick Hernandez has become one of the region’s most recognizable and respected sports authorities in more than two decades as a host, anchor and reporter.

Hernandez is the longtime host of the Emmy Award-winning Redskins Kickoff and Redskins Postgame Live gameday shows. He also contributes as an anchor and reporter to the network’s daily news program, SportsNet Central – a position he held for the show’s debut in April 2001.

Hernandez’s expertise and ties to the community have made him an indelible part of the region’s sports landscape and earned him numerous honors and awards. In addition to multiple Emmy Awards, he was recently named D.C. Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) and was the recipient of the University of Maryland’s Distinguished Terp Award and the Washington Football Legends’ George Michael Excellence in Media Award.

Prior to joining CSN, Hernandez worked for Fox SportsNet and spent seven years with Washington’s WTTG-TV (FOX) as a sports anchor and reporter. A native of Silver Spring, he attended the University of Maryland. 

Sebastian Salazar


Sebastian Salazar

Sebastian Salazar serves as an anchor and reporter for CSN’s news, analysis and entertainment programming, including SportsNet Central. He also regularly hosts Capitals Pregame Live and Capitals Postgame Live.

A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Salazar rejoined CSN in December 2014 after spending two years as an anchor and reporter for CSN Houston, beginning with its launch in October 2012. During his tenure in Houston, he served as an anchor for the network’s daily news program and as the beat reporter covering Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Rice University basketball and football. 

Prior to joining CSN Houston, Salazar spent more than three years covering Washington/Baltimore-area sports. As a member of CSN from 2009 to 2012, he produced and hosted content for and, including high school sports shows. For the 2012 MLS season, he joined D.C. United as a reporter and host and contributed to CSN’s live coverage as sideline reporter.

Salazar’s previously spent two years as a sports anchor and reporter for WHSV-TV (ABC) in Winchester, Va., from 2006 to 2008, and with WDNN-TV in Dalton, Ga., from 2005 to 2006. His first position in sports media was as an intern for CSN Mid-Atlantic’s news department in 2003.

Salazar earned a degree in broadcast communications from Westminster College (Pa.).

Rob Carlin

Rob Carlin, co-host of SportsTalk Live with Brian Mitchell, has been an integral part of CSN’s comprehensive regional sports coverage since joining the network in October 2011.

Prior to joining SportsTalk Live in September 2015, Carlin served as an anchor and reporter for SportsNet Central, the network’s daily news show, and contributed to pregame and postgame coverage of the Washington Redskins and Washington Capitals.

A veteran sports anchor and reporter, Carlin joined CSN from MSG Network, where he hosted game-day coverage of the New York Islanders. Prior to that, he served as a sports anchor and reporter with Baltimore’s WMAR-TV (ABC) for more than three years. A University of Maryland graduate, Carlin also spent four years as a sports reporter and anchor with WMDT-TV (ABC) in Salisbury, Md., and as a sports producer for Baltimore’s WBFF-TV (FOX) for two years. 

Carlin’s other television experience includes work as a host for College Sports Television (CSTV), now known as CBS Sports Network, and as a sports anchor and reporter for WVTM-TV (NBC) in Birmingham, Ala., where he spent four years. He also spent time as a freelance sports anchor and reporter with New York’s WNBC-TV.

Clifton Brown - Ravens Insider

Clifton Brown serves as Ravens Insider for CSN.

Brown, a longtime sportswriter and veteran NFL reporter, provides comprehensive Ravens news, analysis and features for and the network’s mobile and social media platforms. He also makes regular appearances on Geico SportsNet Central, the network’s daily news program, and contributes to Ravens Kickoff, Ravens Postgame Live and other Ravens programming.

Brown joined CSN after covering the NFL for the Sporting News for more than five years. Prior to that, he spent 19 years at the New York Times from 1988 to 2007, most recently as its NFL writer. During his tenure at the Times, he also served as the national golf writer, national NBA writer and as a beat reporter covering the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets. 

He also spent five years in the sports department at the Detroit Free Press, including time as beat reporter for the Detroit Pistons, after starting his career with the Boca Raton News.
