On the eve of training camp, the Wizards signed veteran point guard Jannero Pargo to a 1-year contract. according to multiple reports.With John Wall expected to miss eight weeks with a leg stress fracture, Washington added the 33-year-old Pargo to a point guard mix that includes newcomer A.J. Price and rising second-year player Shelvin Mack.The 6-foot-1 Pargo spent eight seasons with seven teams entering this campaign, averaging 6.5 points and 2.0 assists. Last season in 50 games with the Hawks, Pargo averaged 5.6 points, 1.9 assists and shot 38.4 percent from 3-point range.In that span Pargo played in 429 regular season games with 18 career starts. Price and Mack have a combined four starts in four NBA seasons.Washington fans may remember Pargo from his days with the Bulls, specifically the playoffs.
