Where do the Wizards go from here after an embarrassing 100-68 loss at Detroit Friday night? Actually, the 3-21 Wizards get to face Detroit again tonight at Verizon Center but the performance against the Pistons last night was certainly troubling and can't be glossed over.

It was an unacceptable effort for a professional team that has prided itself on keeping games close this season. The game was never in doubt as Detroit dominated from the jump.

The loss irked Wizards coach Randy Wittman so much that he provided an apology to the fans in his post-game media availability and didn't take any questions.

"That was an embarrassment, and I apologize to our ownership and to our fans," Wittman told the Associated Press. "I especially apologize to anyone who watched that entire game. I would have turned it off after the first five minutes."
