After not even playing four games ago, Wizards forward Martell Webster has elevated his game off the bench in the last two contests, including a season-high 21 points in the heartbreaking 108-106 OT loss to Charlotte Saturday at Verizon Center. Webster played a season high 35 minutes and nailed 3 three-pointers in the loss to the Bobcats.

Webster did miss a potential go-ahead free throw with 17 seconds left in regulation against the Bobcats, but at least Webster was playing in crunch time when just a week prior he was a DNP against Utah.

Webster also added 10 points in the overtime loss at Atlanta last Wednesday, including 2 three-pointers. For the season, the seven-year veteran is averaging 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Webster, like many others, has benefited from the return of center Nene to the lineup. With defenses doubling the big center, Webster has been able to spot up behind the three-point line and also slip down low for Nene to find him.

No matter what Webster's production is, he cares only about that elusive first win of the season.

"It's just us and it's going to be just us that gets us out of this," Webster said. "There are no excuses, we just have to win."
