Just like the Wizards, all the other Southeast Division squads are up and running with the training camp thing. Here's a look at the headlines out of Miami, Charlotte, Atlanta and a less-gaseous Orlando...

Yeah, it's going to take sometime getting used to seeing Ray Allen in anything other than a Celtics uniform after the last few years. Apparently Miami Heat nation is cheerfully embracing the change. (Associated Press)

New Charlotte head coach Mike Dunlap apparently is a straight forward guy. At least that's how he comes across by having directly told Michael Kidd-Gilchrist that the hitch in the shot of the No. 2 overall pick in the draft has got to go away. Even better, the 19-year-old manned up by accepting the critique. (Charlotte Observer)

Replacing Joe Johnson in Atlanta won't be easy, though Hawks coach Larry Drew has plenty of options, from Anthony Morrow to Lou Williams to DeShawn Stevenson to rookie John Jenkins. All Drew knows for sure is the task will not be a one-man job. (Associated Press)...Collectively the Hawks can make this work, though Morrow as likely starter puts Atlanta in the back of the pack among the division's shooting guards.

Not even sure what to make of this Glen Davis take on what the Magic will miss most from Dwight Howard's absence. Let's just say I thought everything about that situation last year stunk and that's before I learned of Howard's other, um, skill. (USA Today)
