Trevor Ariza didn't practice after playing with a 102-degree temperature earlier this week, but he shot around with the Wizards on Friday and is expected to be in uniform vs. the Chicago Bulls at Verizon Center.
Ariza played 35 minutes in a 114-97 win vs. the Miami Heat on Wednesday, when he defended LeBron James despite being ill and throwing up on the sideline during a timeout.
He was excused from practice Thursday.
The Wizards (18-19) beat the Bulls in Chicago on Monday and are on a two-game winning streak. If Ariza is weakened or limited because of his condition, Martell Webster will log more minutes and coach Randy Wittman could be forced to play rookie Otto Porter significant minutes for the first time in three games.
