Is Otto Porter the best pick for the Wizards?

The  Wizards finally get to see Georgetown forward Otto Porter in a workout Friday at Verizon Center.

Porter is the popular pick in Washington. The Wizards have the No. 3 overall pick in the June 27 draft and the Nos. 38 and 54 picks in the second round

The Wizards met with Anthony Bennett (UNLV) on Thursday and will meet Nerlens Noel on Saturday:

Joining Porter:

Jackie Carmichael (Illinois State): A 6-9 forward, he averaged 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2 blocks and shot 52.7% from the field. He also got to the foul line almost seven times a game because he’s a physical, back-to-the-basket player who spent a lot of time at center. Can play the pick-and-pop and is a surprisingly good shot-blocker, too.

Kevin Dillard (Dayton): A 6-foot guard, he’s under 5-11 out of shoes. But Dillard, who averaged 15.3 points, 4.5 assists and 40.5% shooting, has a 6-7 wingspan. He shoots almost 40% from three-point range, but averages more than three turnovers.

Ryan Evans (Wisconsin): A 6-6 swingman, he averaged 10.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2 assists but only is a 39.5% shooter. He comes from a program that wins with defense, not offense.

Bruce Massey (Middle Tennessee): A 6-3 guard, he worked out for the Wizards on Wednesday and was invited back because they needed a sixth player for drills.  Massey averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 assists, 42.4% shooting. He's a defensive stopper who was named the Sun Belt Conference's defensive player of the year.

Viktor Gaddefors (Bologna): A 6-8 Swedish forward, he averaged 5.6 points and 3 rebounds playing in the Italy. Europe’s best league is the ACB in Spain.
