Hmm, that's odd. Washington Wizard and American Otto Porter, Jr. posted a photo of himself wearing a Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid jersey just days before the U.S. faces Portugal in Group G, 2014's so-called "Group of Death."

That match begins at 6 p.m. tonight. A win could send the Americans through to the knockout rounds in consecutive World Cups for the first time in history. They'd advance with a game to spare -- also a first for an American side -- which is vital when a showdown with Germany looms.

Portugal will play without Hugo Almeida, Fabio Coentrao, Rui Patricio and Pepe, so Cristiano Ronaldo's health figures to be a decisive factor. Earlier this week, the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year was photographed wearing an ice pack on his bothersome left knee. As recently as Friday, he wore a knee brace for Portugal's final training session before facing the Americans.

The Americans will play without star forward Jozy Altidore (hamstring), but captain Clint Dempsey will take the pitch in spite of a broken nose sustained in the opener versus Ghana.

Few analysts expected the U.S. to advance from a group that contains perennial powerhouses Germany and Portugal. Needless to say, fans sense an opportunity to take advantage of an ailing Portugal team that may have outmatched them when healthy.

With nearly every American rooting for Team USA tonight, an American athlete repping Portugal's star on social media seems out of place. So, Otto Porter, we have to ask:

Do you?

Do you believe?

Do you believe that?

Do you believe that we?

Do you believe that we will?

Do you believe that we will win?
