Otto Porter says no timetable for his return

That Otto Porter, the Wizards' top draft pick, isn't in uniform isn't a surprise to anyone at this point.

It's just that there's no end in sight to his disappointing start here, just months after being taken No. 3 overall in the draft from Georgetown.

"I'm just trying to get in with my trainers, find some way to heal it so I can get out there," Porter said of his right hip flexor strain to CSN Washington on Tuesday, before the Wizards faced the Miami Heat at Verizon Center.

Porter, a 6-8 small forward, has yet to practice with his team since training camp started Sept. 28. Then, there was no timetable for his return.

Almost three weeks later, that still hasn't changed.

"Right now, no," Porter said when asked if he had an idea when he could play again.

Porter played fewer than three games at Las Vegas summer league because of what the team called right thigh "tightness."
