Highlights: Knicks 98, Wizards 89

Nene is back with the Wizards and will play in Saturday's game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans in Lexington, Ky.

The 7-footer practiced fully Friday after missing the last two games, a win vs. the Miami Heat and a loss Thursday vs. the New York Knicks.

Kevin Seraphin has started two games in his place at center, where Nene will play until Emeka Okafor (herniated disk) returns.

"The next three (preseason games) he'll be ready to go," coach Randy Wittman said of Nene, who stayed in Brazil over the weekend to tend to his ailing father and didn't return to D.C. until Wednesday. "It's good to have him back. Obviously he's a big part of what we're doing. You get your main guy back, it's always good."

Garrett Temple hasn't played in two of the last three games for the Wizards. The guard dressed but didn't log time Thursday vs. the Knicks, it turns out, because of an infection. He wore a bandage on his right (shooting) arm during practice.

"He had a small cut from the game before that had a little infection in it so we kept him out last night just as a precaution," Wittman said. "Put him on some antibiotics to get it cleaned out so he'll be fine. I think he'll be ready to go tomorrow."
