That so many people didn't believe in the Wizards or were against them comes as no surprise to Marcin Gortat. They weren't the favorite vs. the Chicago Bulls for obvious reasons -- recent history. But Gortat faced death threats, though he never took them seriously, on social media and said he had someone reported.

"It's just funny. People are weird," Gortat said when asked about his banter on his Twitter account. "The one gentleman who really threatened us, actually made some terrorist threats to us. He already got profiled so it’s all good. It’s all some serious stuff."

So exactly what was being said to Gortat, the Wizards 6-11 center from Poland?

"He was saying there was a bomb in the plane and stuff like that, my country was going to get bombed, my family’s going to die. Just stuff like that. Just everyday stuff."

Typical of Gortat, his sarcasm has a way of making a serious matter laughable. Next up is the Atlanta Hawks or Indiana Pacers. Every fan base has at least one idiot, if not a cabal of them. Hopefully no one is low enough to stoop to such a level again. And that includes Washington. In the end, it's just a game.

The NBA doesn't comment on security matters, but a league official told CSN Washington that the matter has "been resolved."

"I just responded because its weird," Gortat said of the Wizards' 4-1 series victory against Chicago. "I responded to a few people and told them stop crying."
