Wizards say they're not giving up at 2-7

Washington (2-7) is searching for answers to end a four-game losing streak, but it'll to contend with some bruisers in the low post for Minnesota (7-4).

TV: CSN, 7 p.m. ET at Verizon Center. Pregame/postgame: Wizards Central with Christy Winters-Scott and Ron Thompson, CSN, 6:30 and Wizards Postgame follows immediately after the game. Radio: 1500 AM. 106.7 FM.

Last game: Lost at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers 103-96 OT on Saturday; Timberwolves beat the Boston Celtics 106-88 on Sunday.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Bradley Beal, SF Martell Webster, PF Nene, C Marcin Gortat. Timberwolves –- PG Ricky Rubio, SG Kevin Martin, SF Corey Brewer, PF Kevin Love, C Nikola Pekovic.

Entry passes: 1). How will Wizards defend Love, who has the three-point range to lure Nene from the rim? 2). Can Gortat neutralize the physical play of Pekovic without getting in foul trouble? 3). Can Wall turn around his offense as he has shot 20-for-69 in the last five games? 4). Why has Trevor Booker completely fallen out of the rotation after starting the first three games? 5). Who will be the scorer among the reserves now that Webster is starting?

X-factor: Al Harrington met with his doctor Monday to determine when he should play again after missing the last two games. His ability to stretch the floor with his three-point shooting from the forward position can't be replaced.

He said it: “Not executing, not getting the shots we want, taking tough shots and having careless turnovers. ... We're taking tough shots down the stretch. ” -- Wall explaining the late-game meltdowns.

Around the bend: The Wizards practiced Monday at Verizon Center, will have shootaround early Tuesday and leave for a rematch Wednesday in Cleveland immediately afterwards.
