The Wizards are winless on this road trip and close it out with the defending Western Conference champions, who they last beat on their home floor in 1998.

TV: CSN, 8:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Center in San Antonio. Radio: 1500 AM. 106.7 FM.

Last game: Lost Tuesday at the Dallas Mavericks 105-95 as the Wizards dropped to 2-5. The Spurs (7-1) won at the Philadelphia 76ers 109-85 on Monday.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Bradley Beal, SF Trevor Ariza, PF Nene, C Marcin Gortat. Spurs –- PG Tony Parker, SG Danny Green, SF Marco Belinelli, PF Tim Duncan, C Boris Diaw.

Question marks: 1). Will defensive rotations be crisp under the Spurs' vaunted half-court attack?  2). Can Nene and Gortat make the Spurs' lack of size in the low post a liability? 3). Will Jan Vesely finally get a chance to play significant minutes now that coach Randy Wittman declared he has to change up his bench? 4). What's happened to this defense? 5). Has Kevin Seraphin played his way out of the rotation?

X-factors: Duncan sat out of Monday's game at the Sixers because it was the second of a back-to-back … After starting the first three games, PF Trevor Booker (left index finger) got off the bench for five minutes for the first time since November. ... The Spurs are 3-0 when holding opponents to less than 90 points. ... In the last 10 seasons, the Wizards have lost by an average of 16 points in San Antonio. In four of those games, they lost by 22 three times and once by 28.

Around the bend: The Wizards return to D.C. after playing San Antonio, will be off Thursday and practice at Verizon Center on Friday. They play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday (CSN, 7p.m.)
