Bradley Beal on his career night

The Wizards (2-4) began this three-game road trip by blowing what appeared to be a certain victory in Oklahoma City. Will they be inspired or dejected?

TV: CSN+, 8:30 p.m. ET at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Radio: 1500 AM.

Last game: Lost 106-105 OT at the Oklahoma City Thunder as the Wizards (2-4) squandered a 10-point lead with 3:19 left in regulation. The Mavericks (4-3) won at the Milwaukee Bucks, 93-81.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Bradley Beal, SF Trevor Ariza, PF Nene, C Marcin Gortat. Mavericks –- PG Jose Calderon, SG Monta Ellis, SF Shawn Marion, PF Dirk Nowitzki, C Samuel Dalembert.

Question marks: 1). Will Wall regain his shooting touch? 2). What adjustments will the Mavericks make to defending Beal? 3). Can Nene and Gortat exploit low-post advantage? 4). After consecutive OT games, will they come out flat? 5). Can the Wizards finally hold an opponent to less than 100 points?

He said it: Let's not lose our edge. It hurts but I was proud. That's what I told them. Now we got to go to Dallas and go to San Antonio and play with the same grit and determination. Just because you lose a tough one like this you got to get back on the horse. This is four games in a row now that we're playing the way we want to play." -- Wizards coach Randy Wittman

Around the bend: The Wizards play at the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday (CSN, 8:30).  It will be their first back-to-back games of the season.
