In their first meeting of the season of teams playing back-to-backs, the Wizards are running out of options because of injuries to Bradley Beal (right fibula), Nene (right Achilles), Otto Porter (right hip) and Al Harrington (right knee). Fortunately for the Wizards, they're at home which should help. The starters must give the second unit a nice cushion before it enters the game.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards –- PG John Wall, SG Trevor Ariza, SF Martell Webster, PF Jan Vesely, C Marcin Gortat. Hawks –- PG Jeff Teague, SG Lou Williams, SF DeMarre Carroll, PF Paul Millsap, C Al Horford.
Entry passes: 1). Vesely needs to score, even if just on putbacks and lobs. The Wizards can't run any offense through him but with Nene out they need every point they can muster. 2). Without another scorer on the floor who can break the defense down off the dribble, Wall likely will face a lot of traps to get the ball out of his hands 3). The bench didn't contribute a point in the third quarter vs. Indiana when the Wizards were in striking distance.
X-factors: The chance is there for Kevin Seraphin to earn his way back into the rotation with Nene (right Achilles) and Al Harrington (right knee) out. ... Trevor Booker played well enough to earn more playing time. ... Eric Maynor had eight points and made 3 of 4 shots, which was a good thing. But in just nine minutes of play the backup point guard and four turnovers.
He said it: “We need guys on the bench to step in and play good minutes for us and play big possessions for us, give us the energy and give us the spark." -- Gortat, after the reserves contributed 26 points at Indiana
Around the bend: The Wizards will be off Sunday and play the Orlando Magic at Verizon Center on Monday (CSN, 7 p.m. ET).
