News broke over the summer that Allen Iverson was officially retiring from the NBA. The official ceremony/ press conference took place on Wednesday in Philadelphia, the site of Iverson's most dominant performances when the electric guard starred for the 76ers.

CSNphilly has several video clips from Wednesday's event. For those wanting more of a Georgetown retrospective, has several posts including this one about Iverson's legendary battle against Connecticut's Ray Allen in the 1996 Big East Tournament.

For those looking for a singular quote that sums up the toughest little guard's unique impact on the game of basketball, this one from former Arkansas coach Nolan Richardson works

"I've been to three calf shows, nine horse ropings and seen Elvis once. But I have never seen anything like this in my life," Richardson said after manning the opposing sideline in Iverson's 1994 college debut.
