The Nationals have announced they will place third baseman Ryan Zimmerman on the 15-day disabled list tomorrow and will recall top prospect Bryce Harper from Class AAA Syracuse to fill his roster spot.
Harper, the 19-year-old outfielder, will make his major-league debut tomorrow night in Los Angeles.

Ben Revere was brought to Washington in the hopes he could solve the centerfield and lead-off issue that plagued them the previous year. After just one year, the Nationals have decided to move on from Revere as they declined to tender him.
The move makes Revere a free agent after a .217/.260/.300 season that fell way below expectations. Revere tied his career-high with two home runs and added 24 RBI while scoring 44 runs.

Back in December 2011, the Nationals traded catcher prospect Derek Norris to Oakland in the deal that brough Gio Gonzalez to Washington. Almost exactly five years later, the team pulled off a trade to get Norris back, according to multiple reports.
The trade that shipped away Norris in the first place also included pitcher A.J. Cole, whom the Nationals re-aquired in 2013.
Norris joins Washington catchers Jose Lobaton and Pedro Severino. The Nats re-signed Lobaton to a one year deal yesterday after deciding not to bring back All-Star catcher Wilson Ramos, who tore his ACL at the end of last season.
