The Houston Astros are in the market for a new first baseman and Nationals' bench player Tyler Moore has been mentioned as a trade possibility. Check this out from Jayson Stark of ESPN:

Moore to the Astros is not an entirely new connection as former Nats' third base coach Bo Porter is the team's manager. Porter helped work with Moore when he first came up to Washington as Moore was learning how to play outfield. Porter was also the Nats' outfield instructor at the time.

Moore, 27, was rumored more so for starting jobs last offseason after hitting .263 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI in 2012. This past year saw a bit of a drop-off as he hit .222 with just four homers and 21 RBI.

Before joining the Nats in 2012 Moore had posted consecutive 31-homer seasons in the minors and has a career .827 OPS in six minor league campaigns. Those numbers would suggest he is at least worthy of a chance in a starting role. Whether or not the two sides can come to a deal, however, is a different story. The Astros are calling around and have contacted at least two other teams, so says Stark.
