Breeland leaves game with apparent leg injury

Breeland leaves game with apparent leg injury

In the opening minutes of the Redskins game in New York cornerback Bashaud Breeland left the field with what appeared to be an injury to his right leg. Redskins PR announced Breeland as questionable to return with a lower leg injury.

As Breeland left the field, he was assisted by trainers and seemed to be putting little weight on his right leg.

The injury came on the Giants second possession of the game, where they would end up scoring a touchdown. The Redskins defense forced a Giants three and out to open the game but then Washington fumbled the punt and New York regained possession.

It was an ominous start for the 0-2 Redskins, as New York quickly produced points off the turnover. Also an ominous start for Breeland, who despite a great training camp and preseason has struggled through two games for Washington.
