Leander Paes flew back to D.C. to compete in the Citi open directly after winning the World Team Tennis title with the Kastles. Now he's made it to the Citi Open finals tomorrow.

The Kastles captain teamed up with Australian Sam Groth for the doubles competition. The pair had never played together before, but came together on the recommendation of Kastles owner Mark Ein.

Paes and Groth topped Jeremy Chardy and Robert Lindstedt on Wednesday, followed by David Marrero and Juan Sebastian Cabal on Friday. Today, they faced Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey, defeating them 4-6, 6-3, [10-8] in the semifinal match.

They will face Jean-Julian Rojer and Horia Tecau on Sunday at noon. A win tomorrow would give Paes his 54th ATP doubles title, bringing his streak of at least one championship to 18-straight seasons.
