DETROIT - Redskins star cornerback Josh Norman hit the ground hard in the third quarter while trying to defend a deep pass to Lions WR Marvin Jones. Trainers immediately tended to Norman, and when he was able to get up, walked directly to the locker room.
The play came around the nine minute mark, early in the second half of Washington's game against Detroit.
Norman had been relatively quiet the bulk of the game, and the pass to Jones was his first real test through the air. Lions QB Matt Stafford connected with Jones on the deep ball, and to add insult to injury, Norman was flagged for pass interference on the play.
Norman has been playing with a severely bruised right hand, though his fall did not look to land on his injured hand.
On the season, Norman has forced one fumble and grabbed one interception.
The Redskins announced that Norman is being evaluated for a concussion and his return to the game is questionable.
UPDATE: Norman is out of the game with a concussion.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N. J. – Ryan Fitzpatrick replaced Geno Smith at quarterback for the Jets late in the second quarter, after Smith went to the locker room with a knee injury.
Smith was announced as questionable to return, exiting the game with the Ravens leading, 13-7.
Smith’s injury became the latest twist to the Jets’ unstable quarterback situation.

Fitzpatrick was benched after leading the NFL in interceptions (11) through six games, and the Jets riding a four-game losing streak.
Smith got his first start of the season and completed four of eight passes for 91 yards and a touchdown before his injury.
Fitzpatrick promptly led the Jets on an 85-yard TD drive on his first series, capped by a 13-yard screen pass to Matt Forte for a touchdown that put the Jets ahead, 14-13.
After being benched for this game, Fitzpatrick looked ready to seize this opportunity to win his job back.
With both Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg inactive, running back Bilal Powell would be the emergency quarterback if Fitzpatrick gets injured.
