NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the St. Louis Rams by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
ST. LOUIS RAMS (22)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 21) - Have another shot at 49ers.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 23) - Making strides under Jeff Fisher, and Steven Jackson is still solid back.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 21)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 28) - Any divisional win (Arizona) means a great deal in year one with a new coaching staff.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 23) - Janoris Jenkins takes two Ryan Lindley interceptions to the house, and the Rams' defense shuts out the Cardinals in the second half to double last year's win total.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 20) - Since Oct. 1, the Rams have beaten one team - Arizona - and they've beaten that one team twice.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 22) - After what Janoris Jenkins just did, maybe the entire team should be held after practice to run stadium steps.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 22) - In the words of Mr. Springsteen, one step up, two steps back.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 24) - The young Rams are learning from their head coach how to win. Rome wasn't built in a day!
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 22) - That Rams team in the second half looked like a team to be reckoned with. Bradford playing well, RB Steven Jackson running over around and through defenders. Rookie WR Chris Givens running by people and finally a tough defense led by CB Janoris Jenkins, who took two Pick Six's to the house.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 22) - A history of off-field incidents hurt their draft stock and even led to a one-game benching earlier this season. But if they can keep their heads on straight, two Rams rookies - cornerback Janoris Jenkins (two interceptions returned for touchdowns) and wide receiver Chris Givens (five catches for 115 yards and one touchdown) - proved last Sunday against Arizona that they could be future stars.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 19) - There goes Janoris Jenkins with another Pick 6.
