NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Philadelphia Eagles by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 12) - What was THAT? ...

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 12) - Andy Reid is feeling the heat. Firing Juan Castillo proves it.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 10)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 15) - Things beginning to unravel for Andy Reid, curious to see if they can keep it together and make it to the finish line.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 14) - Andy Reid fires embattled defensive coordinator Juan Castillo after Sunday's fourth-quarter disaster against the Lions. Todd Bowles is next man up for an Eagles team showing plenty of desperation heading into the bye week. The good news for the immediate future: Reid is 13-0 lifetime after bye weeks.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 16) - The Eagles have only scored seven first-quarter points this season. Those slow starts seem to put Philadelphia in a hole every week, contributing to its pedestrian 3-3 start.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 13) - If the Eagles' future is in Michael Vick's hands, the team's in trouble. He has 13 turnovers by himself.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 14) - The pass rush has vanished, and Andy Reid's ticking clock is getting louder.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 15) - The Eagles are one of the biggest turnover machines in the NFL. Their 17 giveaways is second only to Kansas City and the Chiefs sit in the No. 31 spot.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 12) - Defensive coordinator Juan Castillo is out, is QB Michael Vick next? Stay tuned.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 13) - The turnovers and inconsistent play continue.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 17) - They have lost three of four and next have to take on the undefeated Falcons.
