NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 26) - Hard to get closer than that.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 21) - Buccaneers hope that Josh Freeman's strong Week 7 is a sign of things to come.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 25)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 26) - One positive the last two weeks has been the passing game and play of Josh Freeman.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 27) - The good news for Tampa: the offense has shown plenty of improvement over last year. The bad news: the defense can't get much worse.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 28) - The Buccaneers defense has not managed a sack in the last two games. If you count the bye, Tampa Bay has now gone three weekends without sacking a quarterback.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 27) - Maybe the Bucs should stick with the throwback uniforms. They seemed to bring out the best in Josh Freeman.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 23) - New head coach Greg Schiano continues to push the NFL envelope, with mixed results.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 25) - Josh Freeman is back to his 2010 form! In the last three games he has thrown for 1,047 yards and seven touchdowns. The Bucs will start winning more games now.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 25) - Sloppy loss to the Saints. The defense has been good, except when they face really good QB's, i.e. Eli Manning, RG3, Drew Brees. That's a problem. The offense and QB Josh Freeman are becoming the explosive group they are capable of being.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 22) - The Bucs have to learn how to finish. All four losses have come by seven points or less.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 27) - Like a lot of young teams, the Bucs still haven't mastered the little things that win games.
