NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the Cleveland Browns by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 32) - Offense finally clicks, then defense lets them down.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 28) - Trent Richardson is getting respect, but this team needs a victory.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 32)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 32) - Not sure where or when they get their first win.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 32) - Browns looked terrific against the Giants. Unfortunately, that lasted all of about five minutes. Nothing but misery over the next 55.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 32) - Kicker Phil Dawson is the one trustworthy element on the winless Browns. He's been successful all 20 times he has kicked for points - 10 field goals and 10 conversion kicks.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 32) - Five weeks into the season, and already the Browns are out of the picture. Looks like ownership is the only thing that ever changes with these guys.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 32) - You couldn't ask for a better start at the Meadowlands, or a worse finish.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 32) - I think they are better than No. 32, but their record says they have hit the bottom. I do expect them to climb in the future because the young players are getting better.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 31) - They came out hot vs. the Giants but don't have enough ammo right now.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 32) - Three rookies - running back Trent Richardson, quarterback Brandon Weeden and wide receiver Josh Gordon - all look like they should have bright futures for the Browns. But at 0-5, the front office and coaches who drafted these players may be headed out the door in 2013 under new team ownership unless there's a significant turnaround.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32) - As the NFL's only remaining winless team, they are now officially the favorite in the Geno Smith sweepstakes.
